East Longmeadow manufacturer currently looking for an Electrical Engineer.  Full time, direct hire opportunity!  Position requires working with Research & Development helping to incorporate new technologies into products developing and improving processes, PCB schematic design and layout, creation and maintaining prototypes and fixtures, investigating and applying solar and battery power where appropriate, and supporting organizational projects and improvements spanning all departments within the company.

Responsibilities include:

-Dryer & Component Assembly:  Assist with the inspection process of dryers and components ensuring assembly is in compliance with UL, CSA and CE standards

-Assist with analyzing and reporting on component and product performance and recommend appropriate corrective action

-Create and maintain all necessary technical documents

-Compose procedural documents

-Assist customers with troubleshooting

-Engineering activities: Maintain and update drawings for all dryer assemblies and components

-Interact collaboratively with mechanical and software engineers to develop product solutions

-Follow documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities

-Investigate and develop extremely low power, battery operated designs

-Design, build, testing/debug and produce low volume embedded products

-Utilize a design process to develop high reliability, extreme environment designs.

-Circuit design: power sequencing, monitoring, management, embedded processors and high end FPGA’s, SOC FPGA’s and memory devices

-PCB schematic design & layout: sensor system design, connected device design

-Industrial control techniques

-Microcontroller-based electrical architectures

-High voltage wiring and system design

-Update and maintain all certifications

-Develop prototype and special components as needed for internal or field testing

Knowledge & Skills required:

-Must have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Automation Engineering, or other Engineering Science related fields

-Minimum of 3-5 years related experience working in a manufacturing environment and project management software

-Knowledge of electrical, electronics, manufacturing automation systems integration, process controls and drafting and electromechanical troubleshooting capabilities

-Computer knowledge with MS Excel, Monday.com, Solidworks CAD, PowerPoint or Google Classroom is preferred.  

Additional Details:

Shift: Full time

Pay: $90-110K, depending on experience
