Essential Job Functions:
Supervision, coaching, training, and support of departmental engineers and inspectors in a manner that ensures that all safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals are achieved.
Lead or directly support corrective actions and quality improvement teams with root cause analysis, innovative solutions, implementation planning, and more.
Effectively drive or support resolution to quality issues, as necessary, to ensure that customers are satisfied with quality product delivered on time.
Manage expense and capital budget for the quality lab to support testing, research, and inspection including fatigue, wear, tensile, material analysis, microanalysis, hardness, and more.
Manage the quality system to maintain effective utilization of systems including document control, gage control, nonconformance, internal audits, corrective actions, etc. Fulfill role of Management Representative for external ISO 9001 audits.
Manage and/or support the continuous improvement system within the facility, which consists of both team Kaizen events and individual contributions that enhance safety and quality and/or reduce delivery time and cost.
Uphold high ethical standards and consistently comply with all company policies, work rules, Union Contractual agreements, and applicable laws with little to no direct supervision.
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Six Sigma / Black Belt a plus
Ability to comprehend and perform engineering-related mathematics and statistics.
Familiar with Microsoft Office
Familiar with print interpretation including GD&T, measurement systems and analysis, production part approval processes and tool & gage design.

Senior Customer Service Associate

Local medical manufacturer currently looking for a Senior Customer Service Associate to add to their team. Looking for candidates with a high level of customer assistance managing complex customer relationships in a busy manufacturing setting with a proven record of meeting and exceeding targets. Candidate would also be responsible for providing inquiries for product availability, pricing, delivery dates, receiving new orders, monitoring status of current orders, and resolving complaints/billing adjustments.
Other responsibilities include:
-Building relationships with key employees among customers
-Create plans to address clients’ needs and schedule regular meetings to ensure satisfaction
-Point of contact for complaints and escalated issues as appropriate
-Ensure both company and clients adhere to contract terms

Project Engineer

Project Engineer needed for a growing medical device manufacturing company! Seeking candidates with a Mechanical Engineering background and experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD software. This would be a full time, temp-hire opportunity on 1st shift with excellent growth potential.
Duties will include:
-Collaborating with technical team to develop timelines, action items and budgets for various projects.

Chicopee Manufacturer currently seeking a Buyer/Planner. Responsible for procurement of manufactured parts, raw materials, consumables, and non-inventory items. Candidate will maintain planning, scheduling and monitoring of material movement. Other duties will involve the analysis of current account management, identifying opportunities to improve current demand planning to make sure both internal and external needs are met. Experience with ERP system would be preferred.
Duties include:
-Schedule delivery dates and maintain balance of supply & demand
-Evaluate supplier performance, including quality, on-time delivery, cost and service
-Ensure data integrity within the ERP system
-Establish partnerships with potential suppliers and present to Department Lead
-Responsible for purchasing raw materials for Manufacturing, negotiate pricing, quantity and delivery commitments with suppliers. Resolving discrepancies between actual receipts, purchase orders and invoices.
-Maintaining adequate supply of materials by ordering, expediting and communicating changes to the supply chain
-Managing material supply and supply chain and all schedules and changes and will be responsible for providing regular evaluation reports and monthly report cards to key suppliers
-Reducing costs by managing cost reduction activities with suppliers and internal organizations. Negotiating, analyzing supplier quotes, and strategizing commodity purchases.
-Improving and updating inventory and participate in quarterly physical inventory counting. Implement consignment, Kanban, VMI and lead time reduction programs with suppliers.

Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer needed for medical manufacturer in Chicopee, MA. Responsible for the development and implementation of quality systems for sealed plastic film products in an ISO9001 environment involving multiple industries. 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance/control and knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, AIAG Control Plan Methodology & SPC is a plus!
Duties include:
-Oversee PPAP activities and produce submittal package
-Develop and document control plans
-Conduct statistical capability studies and set up SPC control charts
-Document inspection procedures and test methods
-Perform regular audits of processes and materials (Dealing with inspections, tests and operations and results)
-Final release of finished product based on above audits
-Direct interface with production and other support departments
-Special testing when required for failure analysis, validations, etc.
-Perform regularly scheduled calibration of measuring and test equipment
